Boeing Brazil is seeking Mid-Career Avionics Systems Engineer, reporting to the Avionics Manager, working out of the Sao Jose Dos Campos office. The Mid-Career Avionics System Engineer will join the team in defining and integrating airplane electronic and electrical systems across our commercial fleet. This position will be assigned to work with one of the following systems: Air Data and Inertial, Datalink, Displays, Flight Management, Model Based Engineering, Radio Communication, Radio Navigation, Surveillance, and Thrust Management. All projects center on the translation of concepts and high-level requirements to specific architectures and operational specifications including the physical integration of electrical systems and components into our complex airplanes. Work with a worldwide supplier base to implement system hardware and software. Validate designs through both laboratory and airplane testing. Work with aircraft systems from initial concept through certification, delivery, and through their production life. We are continually evolving the state of the art in commercial air transport.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and document moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements
Analyses and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications
Assists in designing hardware, software and interface specifications
Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
Assists in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
Solve problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle
This position will require occasional international travel
Requirements:
Must have existing rights to work in Brazil
Must have a degree in Engineering
Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA)
Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language
Nice to have:
Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering degree
Experience with Electrical Systems hardware and software design
Experience with product development life cycle (e.g., V-model application on ARP-4754), requirements management and design review
Experience with engineering safety processes and methods (e.g. ARP 4761)
Experience with equipment design, specification, installation, and tests, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g. RTCA DO-160)
Experience with product certification process
