Job Description:

As our MI SQL Developer at Ventrica, operating within our MI & Data function you will own and develop both our in-house and client reporting solutions. This position requires expertise in SQL development, ETL processes, Power BI development and data warehousing, with a proven track record of leading these processes essential for this role.

Job Responsibility:

  • Standard SQL tasks such as table design, query creation, etc
  • Ensuring the accuracy, integrity and security of data
  • Creating ETL workflows to process large datasets, in a variety of formats
  • Troubleshooting database performance issues
  • Identify and resolve issues from complex stored procedures, optimise ETL workflows
  • Designing and delivering reports on big datasets
  • Act as a SME in SQL Architecture
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with end users and stakeholders, including finance teams, to ensure their requirements are fully understood and met
  • Follow industry-standard testing and change management procedures to safeguard data integrity
  • Share knowledge freely and help foster an environment where everyone can learn and innovate together

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a T-SQL Developer
  • Proficiency in SQL development (SSMS), advanced data modelling, and ETL workflows
  • Strong skills in Excel and data manipulation
  • Expertise in Power BI
  • Experience of designing and implementing solutions which involve big datasets
  • Experience in writing and troubleshooting complex queries, stored procedures, functions, etc

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience within the BPO industry
  • Experience with OLAP data cubes and administration
  • Cloud database technologies or Python skills would be beneficial
  • Experience working on a web application would be desirable
  • Experience with Azure technologies is beneficial
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift
