Job Description:

Help lead top events in Ghent. You will be the driving force behind our brand-new, state-of-the-art Scala Event Center, located within our hotel hub.

Job Responsibility:

  • First point of contact for guests during events, meetings, and dinners, ensuring the 'Marriott touch' in every interaction
  • Manage the team of waiters and ensure efficient collaboration
  • Maintain an overview during peak times and respond quickly to unexpected situations, ensuring the flawless execution of every event
  • Ensure a professional and welcoming atmosphere in the event spaces
  • Coordinate with our kitchen, bar, and other teams for seamless service

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a leadership or coordinating role within the hospitality or event industry
  • Stress-resistant, organized, and thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Flexible – willing to work shifts between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m., including weekends and public holidays
  • A born communicator who motivates colleagues and exceeds guest expectations
  • Strong communication skills and speak fluent Dutch or English (additional languages are a plus!)
  • Looking for a full-time (38h) or at least 4/5 employment
