Medical Records Clerk

• Maintain and organize patient medical records in compliance with established standards
• Utilize electronic medical records systems to accurately input and retrieve data
• Scan, fax, and file medical documentation to ensure efficient record-keeping
• Apply basic medical terminology knowledge to coding and documentation tasks
• Ensure confidentiality and security of patient information at all times
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to provide timely access to necessary medical records
• Handle administrative duties related to medical documentation and filing
• Monitor and troubleshoot issues with electronic records systems when necessary
• Prepare reports and summaries related to patient documentation as requested
• Maintain a consistent workflow to meet deadlines and organizational needs

• Previous experience in medical records or related administrative roles
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, including Cerner technologies
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology is required
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to handle scanning, faxing, and filing tasks efficiently
• Knowledge of coding practices is preferred
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals
• Ability to work fully onsite in Ravenna, Ohio
