Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our team on a contract basis in Washington, District of Columbia. This role requires an individual who excels in providing exceptional customer service while managing front desk operations in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a medical or dental office and be comfortable interacting with patients in a detail-oriented and courteous manner.

Job Responsibility:

Greet patients upon arrival and ensure a welcoming environment
Verify and update patient insurance coverage with accuracy
Manage inbound phone calls, including scheduling appointments and addressing inquiries
Maintain and update patient records in compliance with organizational standards
Facilitate the check-in and check-out process for patients efficiently
Provide support to patients by answering questions and resolving concerns
Operate and manage a multi-line phone system effectively
Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth office operations
Deliver outstanding customer service to patients and visitors at all times

Requirements:

Previous experience in a medical or dental office environment is preferred
Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle patient interactions professionally
Proficiency in verifying insurance coverage and understanding insurance processes
Ability to operate a multi-line phone system efficiently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Familiarity with patient scheduling systems and record management
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
