We are looking for an organized and friendly Medical Front Office Specialist to join our team in Noblesville, Indiana. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring smooth communication between patients and the clinical staff while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the healthcare industry by supporting patient care and maintaining accurate records.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient flow and keep waiting patients informed of any updates
Accurately copy, scan, and verify patients' insurance information, ensuring all records are up-to-date and signed appropriately
Prepare and distribute daily patient lists, including morning updates and end-of-day reports
Organize new patient charts and ensure completed charts are filed correctly for upcoming visits
Schedule appointments, medical tests, X-ray studies, and office procedures, providing patients with clear instructions
Collect co-payments, process patient encounter forms, and assist patients with scheduling follow-up visits
Update and verify patient demographic information in the system, ensuring all changes are accurately recorded
Address patient calls regarding delays and notify clinical staff promptly
Rotate late-day shifts with front office staff to assist physicians and patients as needed
Provide backup support for various roles and cover other office locations when required
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent education is required
At least 2 years of prior experience in a medical office setting is preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential
Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is highly desired
Familiarity with patient check-in, insurance verification, and scheduling processes
Ability to interact professionally with patients and staff while maintaining confidentiality
Computer literacy, including experience with scheduling software, is preferred
Flexibility to adapt to different roles and support multiple office locations as needed
