The Medical Front Desk Specialist will be responsible for greeting patients, managing scheduling, administrative tasks, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. This is a contract-to-permanent onsite role requiring strong skills in organization, multitasking, and communication.
Job Responsibility:
Greet and check in patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and detail-oriented experience
triage incoming calls, addressing inquiries and directing them to the appropriate department
collect and process patient payments, including insurance-related transactions
confirm upcoming appointments and update scheduling details as needed
prepare charts and maintain accurate electronic and paper records
handle administrative tasks such as copying, data entry, and ordering supplies for the office
assist with ordering meals for physicians and coordinating logistics
utilize electronic medical record systems (EHR/EMR) to manage patient data and documentation
ensure compliance with confidentiality and healthcare regulations while handling sensitive information
work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment, demonstrating adaptability and attention to detail.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical front desk or administrative role
familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as EChart or similar platforms
proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office software applications
strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate data entry and record management
ability to multitask effectively and prioritize responsibilities in a busy environment
excellent communication skills for patient interactions and team collaboration
knowledge of basic medical records processes and compliance standards
comfortable wearing scrubs and closed-toe shoes for an onsite healthcare setting.
