Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical File Clerk to join our team in Holyoke, Massachusetts. In this Contract-to-permanent role, you will play a critical part in managing patient records and ensuring compliance with healthcare facility policies and accreditation standards. This position is a great opportunity for someone with experience in medical records who values accuracy and teamwork.

Job Responsibility:

Assist in managing health information services, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and facility policies
Implement procedures for documenting, storing, and retrieving patient information, including medical documents and insurance data
Process correspondence requests related to patient records promptly and accurately
Maintain and update medical records with precision, ensuring documentation meets regulatory requirements
Uphold organizational guidelines and maintain confidentiality of patient information
Build and foster collaborative relationships with physicians and other departments to support efficient workflows
Perform filing and scanning tasks to ensure records are organized and accessible
Apply basic medical terminology knowledge to interpret and manage medical documentation effectively

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
At least one year of experience working with medical records in a healthcare facility
Proficiency in filing and scanning documents
Familiarity with basic medical terminology
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and medical professionals
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to healthcare regulations
