Medical Data Entry Specialist

• Accurately input and update patient information, medical records, and billing data into electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive patient information
• Review medical documents for completeness and accuracy, and follow up with healthcare providers to clarify or retrieve missing information
• Assist in managing insurance claims and coding documentation, ensuring alignment with billing procedures
• Collaborate with administrative staff and healthcare professionals to streamline data processes and resolve discrepancies
• Perform quality checks on data to identify and rectify any errors promptly
• Generate reports and retrieve data for audits or decision-making purposes as needed

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, insurance billing processes, and HIPAA compliance
• Excellent typing speed with a high level of accuracy
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software
• Outstanding communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

Experience with specific EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech)
