We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis. Based in Webster Plantation, Maine, this role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of medical billing processes. Job Responsibility:

Process and submit medical claims to insurance providers with accuracy and timeliness
Follow up on outstanding claims and resolve billing discrepancies to ensure prompt payments
Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility for services
Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure proper coding and documentation for claims
Manage medical collections and communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries
Utilize ePACES and other billing software to streamline operations and maintain records
Stay updated on changes in medical billing and coding regulations
Generate and analyze billing reports to identify trends and areas for improvement
Assist in training and supporting team members on billing procedures

Requirements:

Proven experience in medical billing, coding, and collections
Proficiency in handling medical claims and insurance processes
Familiarity with ePACES and other billing software
Strong knowledge of medical coding standards and practices
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare providers
Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
Knowledge of current healthcare billing regulations and compliance standards
