Job Description:

Medical Assistant position at CVS Health performing patient care duties within a multidisciplinary team, assisting physicians and nurses with examinations and treatments, and coordinating clinic operations.

Job Responsibility:

Performs patient care duties as delegated by physician
Serves as assistant to physicians and nurses for physical examination and treatments
Performs surgical preps and simple dressing changes
Prepares patient for examination by performing and recording preliminary vitals
Communicates abnormal symptoms or adverse reactions to physicians
Records patient medical history and reason for visit information
Coordinates with internal stakeholders about clinic scheduling
Administers supervision of clinic staff and medical assistants
Provides coaching of non-medical staff
Operates with urgency and flexibility in changing environment

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
5+ years prior relevant work experience
Medical Assistant Certification Preferred
Phlebotomy Certification Preferred
Adept at problem solving and decision making skills
