As a qualified Mechanical or Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for keeping a modern fleet of rolling stock operational and safe. You’ll work on a 4-on, 4-off shift rota (2 days, 2 nights), with 12-hour shifts from 7:00am–7:00pm.
Job Responsibility:
Preventative Maintenance: Carry out planned maintenance activities to ensure the long-term reliability and safety of the fleet
Reactive Maintenance: Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults to minimize downtime and keep operations running smoothly
Operational Excellence: Adhere to rigorous engineering standards and procedures, maintaining a clean and safe working environment at all times
Data Management: Accurately record all maintenance, defect, and repair information to support ongoing fleet performance analysis
Requirements:
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Proven heavy maintenance experience in industrial or capital equipment
Practical knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and braking systems
A team player with a strong commitment to safe working practices
Must pass pre-employment checks, including a Drugs & Alcohol screening and a full rail medical
