Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to focus on the design, analysis, and homologation of critical mechanical components within the Pitch & Yaw systems, with a core focus on machinery elements such as bearings, gears, and couplings. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliability and performance of wind turbine drivetrain components.

Job Responsibility:

  • Execute calculation and dimensioning activities for machinery elements, including bearings, gears, couplings, and brakes
  • Manage the homologation of wind turbine drivetrain components to meet necessary standards and specifications
  • Create detailed specifications, requirement specifications, and functional specifications for new and existing components
  • Provide technical support to DFMEA activities specifically related to drivetrain systems and components
  • Offer support to the Service department throughout the complete component lifecycle

Requirements:

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering (Mechanical)
  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in mechanical component design, stress analysis, or component homologation, preferably within the heavy machinery or wind energy sector
  • In-depth knowledge of drive train components
  • Familiarity with drive train calculation software is highly beneficial (e.g., Kisssoft, BearinX, Alaska)
  • Practical knowledge and experience using the DFMEA tool (APIS-iQ)
  • Demonstrated flexibility and dynamism in executing tasks
  • Strong ability to work effectively as part of a team and demonstrate transverse communication skills
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken)

Nice to have:

Skills in German and Spanish are ideal but not mandatory
