Job Description:

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll work on projects from concept through to completion, getting involved hands on with production, product testing and clients – you don’t want to just sit in a design office. Based in Mansfield, we develop machinery and equipment predominately for the water, gas and utilities sectors.

Job Responsibility:

Detailed mechanical design of new products from cradle to grave
Re-engineering existing products to enhance design, manufacturing efficiency, durability, cost down and weight etc
Prototype testing
Internal stakeholder management with production

Requirements:

Experienced Mechanical Design Engineer
HND or B.ENG in Mechanical Engineering
Running design projects from concept through to completion
Competent using SolidWorks
Worked closely with production and test (DfMA)
Handled your own material selection to include stainless steel, aluminum and mild steel

Nice to have:

Develop design skills to cover electrical and electronic
