Job Responsibility:

  • Working with electronics-related mechanics and system-level design, with a particular focus on machined components
  • Working at the interface between subsystems and the overall system architecture
  • Producing complete, high-quality drawing documentation with accurate tolerancing
  • Managing tolerance stack-ups, material selection, and manufacturing and assembly considerations
  • Willingly share your knowledge, support colleagues in technical matters, and contribute to a structured and professional way of working

Requirements:

  • Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with extensive experience from environments where mechanical design is subject to high demands on durability, reliability, and manufacturability
  • Experience with products and technical systems where quality, tolerancing, and material selection are critical
  • Experience working with electronics-related mechanics and system-level design, with a particular focus on machined components
  • Experience in lightweight design, such as additive manufacturing or composite structures, is considered an advantage
  • Accustomed to working at the interface between subsystems and the overall system architecture
  • Solid understanding of how mechanical solutions integrate into complex products
  • Highly proficient in CAD tools and capable of producing complete, high-quality drawing documentation with accurate tolerancing
  • Managing tolerance stack-ups, material selection, and manufacturing and assembly considerations are natural parts of your design process
  • Experience in Design in PTC Creo and work in Windchill
  • Experience in Simulation and analysis
  • Experience in Drawing methodology according to Model Based Definition (MBD)
  • Experience in ERP systems, preferably IFS
  • Experience in Materials engineering, surface treatments, and fastening technologies
  • Confident in your expertise and have a collaborative mindset
  • Detail-oriented, follow established design and development processes, and understand the importance of delivering on time with the right level of quality

Experience in lightweight design, such as additive manufacturing or composite structures

  • Design mechanical installations for complex experimental systems (flight test aircraft, structural or systems test rigs, wind tunnel models) related to new aircraft development, in-service support as well as defense projects
  • Perform design using CATIA V5 and Siemens NX, and ensure the release of engineering drawings and documents in accordance with aerospace technical requirements
  • Plan, monitor, and control design schedules and costs by identifying critical risks and defining appropriate mitigation strategies for the projects under your responsibility
  • Interpret technical requirements from internal clients to develop robust solutions that meet design criteria while optimizing cost and lead time
  • Conduct preliminary structural stress analysis on the designed installations
