Job Description:

Our client is looking for a talented Mechanical Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (M2 License) to join their Q400 maintenance team. The candidate will carry out inspections, troubleshooting, repair, and certification on Q400 aircraft in accordance with Transport Canada regulations and company procedures.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform line and base maintenance on Dash 8 / Q400 fleet
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and powerplant systems
  • Conduct scheduled inspections, component replacements, and defect rectifications
  • Carry out engine runs, gear swings, and operational performance checks (as qualified)
  • Review and interpret AMMs, service bulletins, and engineering orders
  • Certify completed work within licensing privileges
  • Maintain detailed maintenance documentation and technical records
  • Comply with safety, quality assurance standards, and SMS programs
  • Support hangar heavy checks when required
  • Coordinate with avionics and structures personnel for efficient workflow

Requirements:

  • Valid M2 AME License recognized by Transport Canada
  • Proven experience maintaining Q400 aircraft
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities with hydraulics, landing gear, engines, and systems
  • Must provide own basic tools
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Willing to work rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends when required

Nice to have:

  • Experience on Dash-8 100/200/300 aircraft
  • Familiarity with Pratt & Whitney PW150 engines
  • Previous work in an airline or MRO environment
