Material Handler position for a Medical Device Company. Duration is a 12+ Months Contract. Total Hours/week is 40.00. Shift is 6am - 2:30pm Mon - Fri.
Job Responsibility:
Pallet/Case Picking: processing customer orders including scanning bar codes, picking and labelling boxes, pick, pack and process orders, processing orders through RF technology, maintains an acceptable work area, responsible for following Good Documentation Practices (GDP), complete all necessary RF device training, responsible for accuracy verification and shipment packaging
Pallet Build: palletizing to include scanning, retrieving and placing completed orders on pallets, re-palletizing products for shipment, may be responsible for dock manifest duties which includes scanning completed pallets and running the shrink wrapper, may be required to transport pallets by MHE, responsible for accuracy verification and shipment packaging
Inbound/Outbound/Inventory Movement: load/unload shipments utilizing the WMS, ensure every effort is made to load/off-load pallets in a manner that promotes safety and impedes damages, completes all assigned duties in a timely manner, may be responsible for operating the parcel manifest station, may be responsible for transportation documentation, maintains an acceptable work area, complete all necessary RF device training, responsible for following Good Documentation Practices (GDP), must follow all safety instructions, may be required to perform other duties as assigned, required to maintain current status in C2C training modules, responsible for accuracy verification and shipment packaging
Material handling equipment: operate in a safe manner by designated associates only, all damage and/or maintenance issues must be reported immediately, equipment must be kept neat and orderly, must be able to maintain equipment certification at all times
Safety and Security: perform job activities in a safe and reasonable manner, assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse, all injuries, accidents, unsafe acts, hazards or conditions must be reported immediately, report any suspicious persons or activity
Quality: understand organizational quality goals
Sanitation and Housekeeping: maintain a clean and professional image, follow guidelines to ensure cleanliness of the facility, maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area at all times
Hazmat Training: may be provided with Hazmat training
Cross-training: become knowledgeable with the responsibilities of other warehouse positions, assist as required, act as back up at times of absence or vacation
Requirements:
Experience with MHE (Order Pickers, Reach Trucks, Counter Balance, Dock Stocker)
Must be able to obtain Forklift Certification
Good verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment
Ability to read and interpret distribution documents
Ability to work well with others
Ability to work under minimal supervision
May be required to operate MHE and use Voice/RF scanner
Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment
Basic analytical, organizational and prioritization skills
General distribution knowledge
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without accommodation
High School diploma, GED or 2 years of relevant experience required
