Material Handler II

• Accurately and safely loading and unloading of materials while maintaining the flow of materials to the organizations to ensure that all aspects of the company needs are being met
• Consignment inventory, location to location moves, & inventory adjustments
• Assists in the cycle counting process as requested
• Operates hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks or within the facility
• Responsible for the ongoing inventory accuracy of the facility
• Notifies Inventory Control, Receiving Lead & Receiving Supervisor when material control issues are discovered
• Works with Inventory Control & Lead(s) during investigations of quality issues, inventory issues, shipping complaints and process improvements
• Works as part of the Distribution team to ensure all requested material transfers are completed accurately in a timely manner
• Transfers, transports and stages materials in a timely and accurate manner
• Maintains warehouse documentation and other related records
• Participates in the continuous improvement of the distribution department

• 1-2 years Forklift experience
• Ability to lift 50 pounds plus bending, twisting or lifting from awkward positions or in tight spaces
• must be able to push and pull cases in excess of 200lbs to 800lbs repetitiously
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand
• use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
• and talk or hear
• The employee is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms
• The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, and/or kneel

2 years’ experience pulling orders in a warehouse environment
