Job Description:

The role supports data quality issue management and governance process within Markets businesses, driving issue remediation, risk reduction, and quality improvements. It involves managing data quality governance processes and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will deliver operational risk management, regulatory compliance, and process performance improvements within global markets trading products.

Job Responsibility:

Managing data quality issue management process and supporting data quality governance forums
engaging in data quality issue triage, raising business priorities, and providing proactive guidance to partners
implementing processes for effective data management controls by monitoring data quality reports and driving continuous improvement initiatives
implementing data quality reporting and control frameworks to resolve data quality exceptions
working with partners on findings and recommending practice improvements
understanding and implementing changing or new policy requirements
leveraging data quality issues to examine impacts on customer experience and regulatory compliance
assessing risks in business decisions and demonstrating ethical judgment
acting as a subject matter expert to stakeholders and team members.

Requirements:

Experience in data governance or data quality issue management role leveraging glossary, lineage, and data quality tools to drive issue management governance and reporting
expert in creating and executing a governance framework that improves the quality and value of data to meet regulatory commitments
knowledge and experience of structured project management techniques in a front office environment
industry experience in data, data management, and/or regulatory initiatives
knowledge of data methodologies/frameworks and demonstrable appreciation of the need for and impact of controls, thresholds, and data quality rules
demonstrable experience in data process flows front-to-back, risk and control, markets, operations, and support & control areas within a large bank or dealer
demonstrable experience of coordinating with stakeholders to drive changes and understand process impact on topics including issue resolution and controls
knowledge of global markets trading products such as fixed income, spread products, equity, rates, currencies, and commodities
knowledge of, and experience in, analyzing legislative, regulatory or supervisory and legal compliance texts
10+ years of experience in operational risk management, audit, compliance, or other control functions
strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
excellent verbal and written communication skills
proficiency in Tableau, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams
effective organizational influencing skills
strong project management skills.

Nice to have:

Master's degree
knowledge and experience in Treasury investments
ability to understand the greater context of the business processes and their impact
ability to coordinate with other data management roles including process owners and data stewards
demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategy and process improvement initiatives.
