We are looking for an experienced marine technician to join our growing team. This is a full-time year-round position with very competitive pay, health benefits, tool and boot allowances, and a Group Retirement Savings Plan. Candidates for a Marine Technician should have extensive knowledge of inboard/sterndrive and outboard engines and be able to work on land and on the water. Able to diagnose and repair problems with all systems on boats, including drives, electrical, and ballast systems.
Job Responsibility:
Testing the performance of marine engines and electrical systems
Performing all services on Outboards, Inboards and Sterndrives
Troubleshooting electrical and engine complaints
Ability to use diagnostic computers (Vodia, G3, Diacom)
Replacing broken/worn out parts
Ability to perform service bulletins per manufacturer specifications
Repairs hydraulic and steering systems
Winterizing and Summerizing all systems
Follow company health and safety protocols
Ability to work independently or in a group
Communication with office staff and the Service Manager
Any other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Marine technician certification is a plus
Understanding of HIGH standards of technicalities and analytics
Attention to detail
Accurate in diagnostics and repairs
Able to communicate with customers in a professional manner
