We are looking for a Marine Supervisor for one of our clients.

Job Responsibility:

  • Demonstrate an Incident Free attitude through establishing and maintaining a strong safety culture
  • Ensure all activities carried out under the supervision of the role comply with the companies HSE policy
  • Propose & monitor strategies and technology to support the companies GHG reduction targets
  • Support Marine Incident Investigations and reporting processes, ensuing identification of root causes and capturing of lessons learned
  • Demonstrate a cost focus culture to ensure sustainable value is delivered
  • Demonstrate cost efficiency within the area of responsibility
  • Support the Lead, Marine Operations in the creation and review of company CMS standards and guidelines
  • Support and encourage the development of local talent, ensuring development plans are followed, experience and knowledge shared
  • Support resolution orientated communication and strategic connection among critical stakeholders to implement solutions in a timely manner
  • Ensure CMS rules, standards, policies, and guidelines covering marine crew and watercraft are applied and monitored in accordance with international regulations and standards, classification society, flag state, local regulations, and company procedures
  • Maintain a robust marine vetting and assurance program, ensuring company charter vessels and crew are in full compliance with international regulations and standards, classification society, flag state, local regulations and company procedures
  • Support contract management, ensure vessels and owners are in full compliance with procedural and contractual requirements
  • Support operational changes, delivering solutions to improve efficiency and reliability
  • Ensure the N+1 & N+2 is routinely provided with highlights, concerns and trends related to company marine activity
  • Support project teams and key stakeholders with knowledge of operational standards, safety protocols and best practices in support of their marine operations
  • Participate in industry forums related to marine operations
  • Support the role of Marine Supervisor (JUB) during periods of sickness, and operational need

Requirements:

  • Master Mariner, Chief Engineer, Marine Warranty Surveyor, Merchant Naval Officer / Engineer, or Degree Equivalent
  • 8 years of marine & offshore installation experience with 2+ years at a snr level
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of DP systems, operations, trials and standards
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of marine operations in support of offshore oil and gas activity
  • Good knowledge of international maritime regulations, standards, and codes
  • Experienced in carrying our marine assurance and technical writing
  • Capable supporting multiple activities with a high degree of accuracy against defined deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong supervisory, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational, coordination, planning and interface skills
  • High level of proactivity, negotiating and influential skills
  • Capable of handling repeated vessel transfers and extended hours in offshore conditions
  • Proficient in MS Office suite of software programs
