Job Description:

Marine Cargo Underwriter role with a progressively growing MGA, allowing you to build upon your knowledge and experience in London Market taking on an active role in decision making process to define, develop and deliver the underwriting strategy ensuring extreme valuable business is written

Job Responsibility:

  • Stabilise and grow the Cargo account, leveraging relationships within the London Market
  • Underwrite in line with delegated authorities, including specified limits and income levels
  • Develop the portfolio further while monitoring performance metrics and providing regular reports to the Chief Executive
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date statistics
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, signing all necessary documents and wordings

Requirements:

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • A proactive attitude with a commitment to continuous learning and development
  • Relevant experience or educational background that aligns with the role
  • Cert/Dip CII preferred not essential
