Job Description:

Xometry is seeking a Manufacturing Solutions Specialist to join our Solutions Engineering department, focusing on high-value, complex, and strategically important projects. You will be responsible for curating a micro-network of top manufacturing partners and connecting them to our most significant and lucrative opportunities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop deep understanding of manufacturing partner capabilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with these partners
  • Match projects to partners through targeted outreach and deep awareness of project details
  • Provide DFM feedback and optimization recommendations
  • Prepare and submit quotes to sales team
  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Update and optimize departmental procedures and training

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or manufacturing/supply chain preferred
  • 10+ years experience in manufacturing environment, including time both on and off the shop floor
  • An optimal candidate will have worked in a variety of positions across multiple manufacturing disciplines. CNC, sheet metal fab and assemblies are the top priority.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with customers and partners, commonly acquired as a shop rep, BD specialist, commodity manager or supply chain engineer
  • Familiarity with ITAR, DFARS, JCP and other defense-related regulations/restrictions preferred
  • Experience with international manufacturing preferred
  • Deep experience interpreting customer drawings, CAD files, BOM structures and technical details
  • Strong communication skills across all organizational levels. Courtesy and respect are essential.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to challenge inputs and iterate solutions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Docs, especially Excel/Sheets
