Job Description:

The Manufacturing Manager will play a key role in achieving production targets while driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing process. This position requires hands-on involvement to guide and support the operations team, ensuring that safety and quality standards are consistently met. Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee all aspects of production, including daily planning, meeting output targets, managing costs, improving first-pass yield (FPY), and maintaining safety and quality standards
  • Ensure high-quality output while optimizing costs, resources, and adherence to best safety practices
  • Lead by example to position the organization as a leader in world-class manufacturing
  • Recruit, coach, and develop large teams of both salaried and hourly employees, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and growth
  • Drive compliance with safety and environmental standards
  • Champion continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, efficiency, and productivity
  • Provide feedback to senior leadership and leverage industry benchmarks to adopt best practices
  • Support new product launches and material introductions by collaborating with design and engineering teams, establishing process plans, managing budgets, and tracking timelines to ensure timely delivery
  • Implement high standards in process control, key production metrics, consistent documentation, and 5S initiatives to maintain operational excellence
  • Implement contingency plans to address any production disruptions, ensuring minimal impact on operations
  • Lead the execution of departmental strategies and initiatives that align with overall business objectives
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints
  • Collaborate effectively across departments, including Product, Finance, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality, to ensure alignment across the business

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 8–10 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Proven experience working with automation equipment — including setup, troubleshooting, or optimization within a production environment
  • Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities with a focus on team development and engagement
  • Demonstrated success in introducing new products and materials into the production process
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and proactive communication across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to excel under pressure, prioritize competing demands, and meet tight deadlines with consistent follow-through
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and drive to achieve results
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven experience implementing Lean manufacturing practices to reduce waste, boost efficiency, and drive continuous improvement
