Job Description:

The Manufacturing Lab Supervisor will support the day-to-day blending operation by maintaining the schedule, having direct supervision of the blending team, performing quality tests and managing the ISO 9001 program.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform quality testing on inbound and outbound products and blends
  • Supervise blending personnel
  • Lead project management for blending/bulk distribution
  • Quality Management Systems coordinator including ISO 9001 program
  • Maintain production schedule and purchase raw materials (bulk production and lab)
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment as well as maintain equipment maintenance intervals
  • Act as bulk inventory control coordinator
  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion

Requirements:

  • Minimum B.S. in Chemistry, Biology or Engineering but will consider Business
  • 2 years in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Previous experience production scheduling and lean six sigma, a plus
  • Strong communication/presentation skills
  • Computer Skills - specifically Excel, Power Point, SAP and quality management software
  • Ability to periodically lift up to 50lbs during shift
