This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units (“Spirit Commercial”). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing’s three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial’s core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.
Job Responsibility:
Facilitate team members’ audits of policies, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with program/contract, company, customer/government, regulatory requirements, international standards, and working agreements
Conduct cross-functional research and benchmark compliance standards
Conduct quality system / process reviews, provide customer interface, and ensure preventive and corrective action
Develop or utilize statistical process improvement methods
Provide compliance guidance to company employees, customers, and regulatory agencies
Ensure compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements to assure quality management system compliance
Provide education and coaching on the Quality Management System
This will be for 2nd Shift
Requirements:
Strong leadership skills & the ability to motivate team members
Exceptional time management skills
3-5 years of experience in Quality, in a Specialist, Quality Engineer or Management role
Strong proficiency Microsoft products such as Power Point, Excel, and Word
Candidate must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required
HS Diploma or GED
Nice to have:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Management, or related field
Experience managing professional role employees
Exceptional time management skills
Proficient in root cause analysis methodology
Experience in AS9100 or NADCAP Audits
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and team-based environment
Ability to prioritize requests from multiple sources and support requirements
Experienced desired with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)
