As a Manufacturing Engineer, you are part of the Operations team and report to the Operations Manager. You are process responsible for our volume production within our specialized machining department for the semiconductor market. You work closely with production, planning, quality, and engineering. You thrive on the dynamics on a production floor and ensure that people and machines can perform optimally. You analyze performance, identify structural improvement opportunities, and ensure that processes remain stable, scalable, and future-proof. You are visible on the (production) floor but operate from a central role within Operations.
Job Responsibility:
Optimizing and securing production processes within machining
Troubleshooting disruptions in volume production and implementing sustainable solutions
Creating and updating work instructions and production routings
Analyzing process data (SPC, CPK, machine performance) and translating it into structural improvement actions
Leading improvement projects focused on yield, first-pass yield, and lead time
Applying Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement within Operations
Requirements:
Minimum HBO level of education (Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar)
Experience in a high-tech production environment, for example, in assembly or machining
Knowledge of quality methodologies such as SPC, CPK, PFMEA, and root cause analyses
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and process optimization
Technically strong and analytically skilled
Good communication skills and able to work effectively as a connector between production and support departments
Ownership, decisiveness, and a strong drive for improvement
