Job Description:

Managing Director role for EDP's distributed generation business in Belgium, responsible for developing and leading the company's B2B photovoltaic and on-site generation solutions across Flemish, Walloon, and Brussels-Capital regions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and lead EDP's distributed generation business in Belgium, defining and executing a comprehensive business strategy to drive sales growth and market expansion for B2B photovoltaic and on-site generation solutions
  • Oversee the overall operations of the distributed generation segment, ensuring alignment with EDP's European strategy and delivering operational, financial, and commercial excellence
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key corporate clients, institutional partners, regulators, and stakeholders within the Belgian energy ecosystem
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and alignment with federal and regional energy policies, subsidy schemes, and grid connection requirements
  • Lead the commercial, technical, and operational teams, ensuring coordination, motivation, and performance to deliver projects on time, on budget, and with the highest quality standards
  • Conduct market analysis and competitive intelligence, leveraging data and business insights to identify new business opportunities and anticipate customer needs
  • Collaborate closely with Group functions and European peers, ensuring consistency in EDP's go-to-market approach and synergies across the region
  • Promote EDP's values and culture of sustainability, innovation, and ethical business practices in all operations

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 10 years of experience in business development, commercial leadership, or operations management in the renewable energy sector, preferably in photovoltaic or distributed energy systems
  • Proven track record in managing and scaling business operations in a complex, multi-regional market
  • Strong understanding of the Belgian photovoltaic market, including regulatory frameworks (CWaPE, VREG, BRUGEL), permitting processes, and regional incentive mechanisms
  • Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills
  • Experience in leading multicultural and multilingual teams
  • Fluency in English and one of the national languages (French or Dutch) is required

Nice to have:

Knowledge of the second national language (French or Dutch) is a strong asset

  • Oversight of Monitoring Responsibilities and Study Conduct
  • Ensure proper conduct of clinical trials in accordance with the Study Monitoring Plan (SMP) and applicable prevailing laws, GCP, and client standards to achieve project goals, timelines and quality

  • Monitor site level adverse events (AEs) and serious adverse events (SAEs) and collaborate with the Drug Safety Unit and follow-up with investigators sites, as needed, to bring SAE reports required information to resolution
