The Product Development team for Checkout Solutions is seeking a Manager, Product Development to help bring Mastercard’s flagship agentic commerce product—Mastercard Agent Pay—from concept to market and scale. This Lisbon-based role is ideal for someone passionate about building innovative payment solutions, collaborating across global teams, and driving product excellence.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead product development lifecycle from concept through pilot, launch, and scale
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to define technical requirements and user experience
  • Translate strategic goals into actionable development plans and product features
  • Partner with AI firms, agentic providers, startups, issuers, wallets, merchants, and PSPs to gather feedback and refine product direction
  • Define and track product KPIs, performance metrics, and customer adoption
  • Support go-to-market planning and regional rollout strategies
  • Ensure product-market fit through iterative development and customer validation
  • Drive connections between adjacent products and features to create cohesive experiences

Requirements:

  • Experience in product development or technical product management, ideally in payments or fintech
  • Strong understanding of digital wallets, tokenization, authentication, and consumer payments
  • Familiarity with Mastercard’s ecosystem: issuers, acquirers, PSPs, merchants, and wallet operators
  • Technical fluency and ability to collaborate with engineering teams
  • Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience with executive stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
