Job Description:

24 hour accountability for a unit area. The major responsibilities are in providing leadership and communication, monitoring the work environment, assuring quality, managing the fiscal budget, managing human resources and ensuring the delivery of competent clinical practice.

  • Support and actualizes the Division of Nursing philosophy and goals by assuming leadership in program development and implementation
  • Facilitates development and implementation to solution to problems

  • Conducts unit council meetings monthly
  • Has a positive working relationship and problem solving with other members of the patient care delivery team

  • Reviews fiscal Worksheet, analyzing variances and implementing appropriate action plans
  • Develops and Manages the unit budget

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (BSN) in Nursing with a minimum of 3 years leadership experience
  • or Master's degree with Clinical experience preferred
  • Registered Nurse: TX (RN:TX)
  • Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR) within 14 days
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) within 12 months
