The Manager, Employee Relations will be responsible for diligently conducting above-property Internal Reviews ensuring fairness and confidentiality. This role will manage an ongoing case-load of issues that must be reviewed in a timely manner ensuring proper communication and alignment with key stakeholders such as the Area Directors People & Culture and the VPs People & Culture.
Job Responsibility:
Leads above-property Internal Review process and resolution of complex and/or high-risk employee complaints with fairness and confidentiality in a timely manner
Keep all key stakeholders updated on findings and aligned on proposed next steps to resolution
Serve as a trusted advisor to Area Directors P&C on employee relations trends and potential risk mitigation strategies
Assist Director Employee Relations & Policies and Area Directors People & Culture in identifying trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement
Provide regular reporting and updates on case load to Director Employee Relations
As an administrator of the platform, work with the Director Employee Relations & Policies to ensure all data and documents are maintained related to Internal Reviews
Assist with platform migration from Convercent to EQS ensuring that the system is set up to deliver reporting, diagnostic and analytic capabilities
Assist with updating and maintaining a comprehensive global People & Culture Operations policy framework that supports compliance, equity, and organizational values
Collaborate with field People & Culture leaders, Legal & Compliance to ensure policies are aligned with regulatory changes and business needs
Assist with Global People & Culture projects as needed
Requirements:
5-10 years of progressive HR experience, including significant employee relations case load management and resolution
CHRP designation is an asset
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred)
Proficient in MS office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Working knowledge of Ethics Reporting platforms (e.g. Convercent, Navex, EQS)
