This position will serve as the HQ Assistant Controller and Transformation Analyst, driving key control and reporting projects while ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and HFM submissions. The role will partner closely with Sector and Market Controllers to deliver high-quality reporting and insightful variance analysis. It will also lead automation and process-improvement initiatives to strengthen the reporting process. In addition, the role will support technical accounting matters and contribute to sector-wide transformation efforts through regular collaboration with cross-functional teams across HQ, Markets, and Sector leadership.
Job Responsibility:
Drive key Control and Reporting projects, including one-off technical initiatives (A&M Taxonomy 2.0, HFM Cloud, LERP, etc.)
Lead analysis deliverables and ESG reporting with strong cross-functional coordination
Manage an expanded scope driven by PepsiCo’s Controls Accountability Model and IB’s new ways of working
Perform HFM validations, ensuring compliance with reporting and analysis deliverables, ATC/WD3 close requirements, and management’s enhanced review expectations
Prepare and review monthly financial results and variance analysis, coordinating with cross-functional teams and Market Controllers to gather insights and business commentary
Partner with the GPEX team to conduct financial-reporting risk assessments, evaluate control design, and drive timely remediation of identified gaps
Work closely with Market Controllers, Sector, Corporate, and SST FP&A to provide clear PEP guidance and support on policy matters
Lead HFM, FDM, and TM1 simplification and automation initiatives to support the "Automation, Simplification, and Accelerate to Close" agenda
Drive standardization of reporting by optimizing HFM structures and embedding FDM automation
Lead continuous improvement efforts to reduce manual inputs, minimize ad hoc requests, and streamline HFM reporting through enhanced automation
Support the Controls team in providing technical accounting guidance to SST ensuring compliance with PepsiCo’s accounting policies
Support the SST Controls team in enhancing the reporting capabilities of the SST Group
Serve as the key contact for SST Group and Market Units on financial reporting matters, providing clear direction or redirecting queries to relevant peers in line with PepsiCo’s policies
Respond proactively and effectively to ad hoc requests from Sector and BU Controls
Manage stakeholder relationships to ensure smooth cross-functional collaboration and act as the reporting liaison for non-HFM users across Control, FP&A, and other functions
Requirements:
Minimum 4 years of experience in Finance and Control
Big 4 experience highly preferred
Chartered Accountant/CPA /ACCA or Bachelor Degree in Finance & Accounting
equivalent experience
Strong financial reporting experience under IFRS and US GAAP along with understanding of end-to-end process, systems and data flows across organization at business and finance-side and proficiency in IT systems: ERP, Planning & Reporting tools and integrated solutions
Ability to drive change effectively at different levels throughout the organization
Strong communication skills to facilitate interaction with BU and Senior management and stakeholders at HQ, Markets and Sector
Demonstrates high integrity in financial controller management and the flexibility needed to work effectively in a matrix organization
Ability to grasp tax, treasury and legal concepts quickly and communicate them effectively
Strong communication skills and ability to interact with Process stakeholders with different levels, seniority and cultural savviness and agility
Strong people management skills essential to work effectively with the stakeholders
