Job Description:

Do you want to become part of one of the UK's largest motor retailers? We are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to join us at Vertu Nissan Glasgow. This role will be based at Vertu Nissan Glasgow South, however you will provide support across both of our Nissan sites in Glasgow, including Nissan Glasgow Central. You’ll work closely with the Accountant who oversees both locations, ensuring consistent financial processes, reporting, and support across the two dealerships.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work alongside the accountant in producing spreadsheets and statistical data to support the management team and aid business decisions
  • Coaching and developing our existing team
  • Complete the following tasks: Forecasts
  • Estimates
  • Production of Management Accounts
  • Payroll
  • Reconciliation of balance sheets
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • Cash flow
  • Reconciling manufacturer bonuses

Requirements:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft packages
  • Good organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent numerical, organisational, and communication skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all financial and non-financial colleagues, clients, and customers

Nice to have:

  • A working knowledge of Kerridge or similar accounting systems
  • Previous motor trade experience
