Vital in early breast cancer detection, performing high-quality mammographic imaging with precision and compassion. The technologist is primarily responsible for performing mammography studies. The technologist maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times and is self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease, and new procedures as they evolve.
Job Responsibility:
Perform high-quality mammographic imaging
Expertly operate equipment
Meticulously position patients
Ensure patient comfort
Perform quality control
Maintain accurate records
Collaborate with radiologists
Adhere to safety and regulatory standards
Assist physicians with interventional imaging procedures, starting IV's, and injecting contrast, if applicable
Rotate between different campuses within Brazos Valley
Requirements:
AAS - Completion of an accredited Radiology Program
Two (2) years of imaging experience
