Job Description:

This position involves responding to maintenance requests, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and performing general maintenance duties in a hotel setting. The role requires communication with guests, adherence to safety procedures, and collaboration with team members. The ideal candidate should have some maintenance experience, a high school diploma, and a driver's license.

Job Responsibility:

Respond and attend to guest repair requests
handle guest communications to resolve maintenance issues
perform preventive maintenance
troubleshoot and repair equipment and guestroom items
perform surface preparation, painting, and drywall repair
maintain landscaping and sprinklers
follow company policies and safety procedures
report safety hazards and maintenance problems
input work-related information using computers
maintain professional guest interactions.

Requirements:

Respond and attend to guest repair requests
communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues
perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment
visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
carry equipment
identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs
maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies
communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts
display knowledge or acquire knowledge in air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, and energy conservation
perform surface preparation, painting, drywall repair, and cleanup
test, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and guestroom items
use the Lockout/Tagout system
perform repairs on landscaping and sprinklers
display basic computer skills for air handler schedules and temperature changes
follow safety policies and procedures
report maintenance problems, safety hazards, and accidents
maintain personal appearance and confidentiality
welcome and assist guests
move and lift objects up to 50 pounds without assistance
use computers for work-related information.

Nice to have:

Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance
some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting.
