Job Description:

Courtyard Santo Domingo is seeking a Maintenance-Technician to handle guest repair requests, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical, plumbing, landscaping, and general engineering tasks. Technicians will be trained on company policies, safety, and professional standards.

Job Responsibility:

Respond and attend to guest repair requests
perform preventive maintenance
carry and use tools
communicate activities and problems to other shifts
inspect tools and equipment
replace electrical switches and outlets
program TVs
perform general housekeeping and engineering inventory duties
move and lift heavy objects
maintain positive working relationships
follow safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

Respond to guest repair requests
perform preventive maintenance on kitchen and mechanical room equipment
visually inspect tools and equipment
maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies
basic knowledge in air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, kitchen equipment, and general building
surface preparation, painting, drywall and wood trim repair
troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on plumbing and electrical components
use the Lockout/Tagout system before maintenance
perform repairs on landscaping sprinklers
basic computer skills for inputting schedules and temperature changes
move and lift objects weighing ≤50 pounds
valid driver’s license.

Nice to have:

High school diploma or GED equivalent
some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior painting
hotel engineering or maintenance experience.
