Job Responsibility:

  • Operate Skid Steer, Wheel Loader, Aerial work platform and Forklift
  • Complete work order requests for repairs and services
  • Delivery of supplies and materials to various sites and work locations
  • Perform housekeeping duties such as cleaning of tools and equipment
  • Clear snow from parking lots, walkways and roof tops (skid steer, loader, and plow truck-sander combination operation)
  • Move, modify, adjust, install and repair office furniture and materials
  • Remove and install signage using skid steer with attachments and hand tools as required
  • Perform grounds care sweeping, garbage removal, etc.)
  • Clean exterior windows and interior diffusers
  • Perform other duties as they arise to fulfill mandate of providing complete facilities operations and maintenance

Requirements:

  • One (1) year of skid steer operating experience is required
  • Two (2) years of labour or grounds maintenance experience is required
  • Ability to work from heights is required
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with clean abstract is required
  • Strong communication skills and ability to comprehend and follow direction is required
  • Strong team player, and ability to work well with others is a requirement
  • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks is a requirement
  • Must be physically fit to perform all duties of the position including extensive walking, climbing, crouching, bending, and carrying of heavy materials (50lb requirement)
  • Ability to work independently and harmoniously within a diverse team is required

Nice to have:

  • Valid skid steer ticket is preferred
  • Load Securement Certificate and experience is an asset
  • Forklift operating experience and ticket is an asset
