The Maintenance Instrument and Controls Technician is responsible for supporting the maintenance program by carrying out effective maintenance routines, repairs and calibrations to prolong the useful life and optimize the efficiency of production equipment.
Job Responsibility:
Responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, general repairs, and emergency repairs on electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and logical control systems
Troubleshoot all current and future distributed control systems (DCS)
Maintain and calibrate equipment according to work instructions, standard operating procedures, or preventive maintenance tasks
Accurately performs required computer data entry
Participate in team meetings, which include planning daily work and resource utilization, problem solving, project work, etc.
Comply with company safety policies including safe operation of equipment, PPE usage, hand tool safety, lock-out-tag-out, and proper storage of tools, etc. and compliance with good housekeeping policies
Requirements:
2 years of experience in industrial maintenance preferably working in chemical, pharmaceutical, or food processing facilities with a focus on instruments and controls specifically MCC’s, PLC’s, DCS, VFD’s, motor starters and holding circuits
Experience performing calibrations as well as process instrumentation (temp, level, pressure, valves)
Working understanding of electricity, ability to safely work with voltages up to 480V, and knowledge of power distribution systems up to 15KV
