The role of Mainframe Developer involves utilizing knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts to identify and define system enhancements, consulting with users and technology groups to recommend programming solutions, and analyzing applications to identify security issues.

Job Responsibility:

Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements, including using script tools and analyzing/interpreting code
Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, and recommend programming solutions, install, and support customer exposure systems
Apply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications
Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, as well as conduct testing and debugging
Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts

Requirements:

Hand on Mainframe Developer
4-8 years of strong mainframe experience with COBOL/JCL/CICS/VSAM/ DB2
Strong design and development skills in the above mentioned technical stack
Financial services domain experience
Excellent communication, analytical skills and problem-solving experience for implementation, debugging and testing
Component Design/ Coding/ Unit Testing/ Debugging
Work proactively & independently to address project requirements, and articulate issues/challenges with enough lead time to address project delivery risks
Able to work as part of a virtual team in a culturally diverse background
Good time management skills
