The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Job Responsibility:
hands-on coding, design, testing support and deployment of Mainframe codes based on user requirements
recommend system improvements that will add value to business users and improve system stability
support issues that arise in Production and join business calls as necessary
providing regular status updates to the manager and work with minimal supervision
Requirements:
2-5 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry
intermediate level experience in Applications Development role
consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
expertise in Mainframe tech covering COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL and zAPIs
working experience in a multi-tech stack environment with Java front end and mainframe on the backend
