Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Database Administrator to support a major financial services environment. This role will focus on the administration, optimisation, and support of critical mainframe database systems, with a strong emphasis on HOGAN and IMS technologies. You will work as part of a highly skilled enterprise team ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of key banking platforms.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide day-to-day support and administration of mainframe database environments
  • Manage and maintain HOGAN, IMS HALDB, and Fast Path databases
  • Perform database performance tuning, capacity planning, and troubleshooting
  • Support Managed ACB and Change Data Capture (CDC) processes
  • Work with scheduling and automation tools such as Control/M (or equivalent)
  • Utilise BMC IMS tools for monitoring and database management
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise standards, governance, and security policies

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Mainframe DBA in large-scale enterprise environments
  • Strong expertise in: HOGAN
