Citi Enterprise Command Center (Mainframe Operations) provides the first line operations monitoring as well as advance support services that enable Citi's core Mainframe operation infrastructure to operate 24/7/365. Citi has one if not the largest Mainframe deployment in the world all in support of the core financial functions and services to our global customers. We provide the critical technical monitoring and oversight foundation for Citi's operations through the infrastructure tools in place to focus on Time to Repair – Time to Resume Service. We do this by working as one-team to deliver high quality, reliable, striving for excellence in all we do. This modern infrastructure technology in place requires individuals with focus, understanding of the environments, skills and deep knowledge of the Z IBM platform. We are relentlessly pursuing nothing but the best collectively to ensure Citi continuous operations flawlessly.
Job Responsibility:
Resolve moderately complex problems/projects through analysis, technical experience, and precedents
provide analysis for more complex issues, escalating as appropriate
Participate in testing activities, including the creation and execution of basic test scripts and evaluating results for possible enhancements
Complete control activities (risk, self-assessment, COB, audit, etc.) and makes recommendations for enhancements
Collect and organize requirements for hardware acquisition and deployment activities
Gather, compile and synthesize information regarding technology processes or systems
create and prepare reports
Assist in systems implementation/enhancements and post implementation activities
Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Ensure that standards process are followed according the requirements
Requirements:
2-5 years of experience in an Infrastructure Technology role exposed to Mainframe with knowledge and support among the z/OS platform and its products
Knowledge of Mainframe applications: OPC, consoles, z/OS, TSO/ISPF, Cobol, JCL modify, job demands, IOF, SAR, Syslogs, jobs outputs, SFTP, FTP, SCP, SSH, SSL/TLS, changes, implementations, production batch and products
IPL knowledge, hands on and handling
Proven knowledge in the change life cycle and the Change implementation from Mainframe ECC side
Proven knowledge of overview and exposure to L1, Shift Lead, Change Lead, Batch and Infra roles
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Effective analytic/diagnostic skills
Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audience and support L1 associates
Ability to work under pressure and organize workload
Initial Program Load hands on experience
Exposure to change process
Bachelor’s/University degree in a technology career is a plus
Intermediate/advanced - ability to speak fluently
ITIL knowledge/certification or similar is a plus
