Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Mailroom Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth handling and delivery of mail and packages while providing excellent customer service to students and staff. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining efficient mailroom operations.

Job Responsibility:

Receive and log incoming mail and packages with accuracy
Sort and organize mail and packages for efficient distribution
Deliver mail and packages to appropriate recipients in a timely manner
Provide courteous and attentive customer service to students and staff
Monitor and maintain mailroom supplies to ensure seamless operations
Address inquiries related to mail and package delivery with clarity and professionalism
Adhere to established mailroom procedures and safety protocols
Assist with general mail processing tasks as needed

Requirements:

Previous experience in a mailroom or similar environment is preferred
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to lift and move packages of various sizes safely
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Familiarity with basic mail processing equipment and procedures
Attention to detail and accuracy in handling mail and packages
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
