Machinist

• Machine components by operating various machines and equipment
• Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions
• Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications
• Loading and unloading of CNC machinery
• Packing out finished material into dunnage
• Loading and unloading CMM/Measurement systems
• Cleaning and organizing of work areas (5S standards)
• Read and understand internal procedures and policies
• Working knowledge of component balancers and ability to balance components as required
• Transport material as required using proper handling methods
• Keep work area in orderly condition
• Maintain quality standards by following proper inspection procedures
• Understand and adhere to current health, safety, and environmental policies
• Understand and adhere to current quality and control policies
• Perform other duties as needed

• Completion of high school or equivalent
• Experience in fast paced industrial environment
• 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred
• Basic and advanced math skills (decimals, addition, subtraction, fractions, ratios, proportions)
• Geometry and trigonometry is a plus
• Attendance on the job is essential
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Must be able to follow instructions, safety rules and regulations
