As a Machine Operator, you are the heartbeat of the production floor, ensuring that every batch meets rigorous standards while maintaining an efficient and safe workspace. Working as a Machine Operator requires a blend of technical aptitude and physical stamina. You will navigate computer-controlled equipment, perform complex machine changeovers, and conduct quality checks to ensure product excellence. Job Responsibility:
Set up and operate production equipment using computer-controlled interfaces to manufacture powder coating
Record operational data accurately on specified forms to maintain production traces
Clean and disassemble equipment thoroughly between batches to eliminate cross-contamination
Prepare tooling for changeovers and perform machine changeovers according to set standards
Obtain and run samples to test batch quality and cleanliness throughout the production run
Conduct cabin powder collection to reduce waste and increase machine efficiency
Package and label finished goods in designated cartons and stack them on appropriate skids
Scan and transport finished runs or full skids to the staging area using a forklift (if certified)
Spray test panels and perform in-process quality checks to detect defects or deviations
Maintain a clean workstation in compliance with 7S requirements and Lean Manufacturing principles
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED is required
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing and production environment
Experience in powder coating or chemical manufacturing is considered a strong asset
Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 9 hours) and perform repetitive lifting up to 55 lbs
Comfort wearing full PPE, including a face mask, eye protection, and earplugs, for the duration of the shift
Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) for documentation and safety purposes
Forklift certification or the ability to be trained is an asset
Ability to work in an environment with exposure to dust, powder paint, and noise
Nice to have:
Experience in powder coating or chemical manufacturing
