The Machine Operator operates a variety of machinery used in the nutraceutical industry. Responsibilities may include setup, tear-down, operating, cleaning and troubleshooting machines. The job holder is required to take instruction, work independently or as part of a team to ensure both the quality and quantity of manufactured products.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment
Monitor the machine during operation and perform in-process checks, making adjustments as necessary
Perform troubleshooting tasks during production
Operate machinery (such as a blenders, tableting/encapsulation/coating machines and mobile equipment)
Dissemble, clean, sanitize, assemble machine and auxiliary equipment. Clean rooms
Perform general maintenance of machinery, including care of machine parts and tooling
Requirements:
at least 5 years of work experience
mechanical experience, safely operating and setting up machines while using a diverse selection of hand tools
ability to demonstrate safely working in a physically demanding environment where lifting up to 50 lbs. is a common occurrence
intermediate-level computer proficiency and are comfortable working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint
Basic math proficiency: capable of calculating percentages, fractions, all basic operations, decimals, and rounding
ability to work well on your own or co-operatively with others, based on the needs of the business
clean-shaven (no facial hair) to ensure a proper respirator fit
legally entitled to work in the country in which this job is located
Nice to have:
Experience in production setting preferred
having a personal vehicle is preferred
