Job Description:

The Machine CNC Operator - Mazak (1st shift) operates machines that finish the ends of pipes. These products are then sent to the next phases of the process. The operator is responsible for producing a quality product.

Job Responsibility:

  • Operates machines that finish the ends of pipes
  • Responsible for producing a quality product
  • Setting machines properly for the right diameter and length of pipe
  • Loading the machines with pieces of pipe (cut blanks)
  • May be responsible for running multiple machines
  • Maintaining a clean and safe machine and work area
  • Performing required maintenance checks
  • Keeping accurate production records in the computer planning system
  • Meeting established production standards.

Requirements:

  • Ability to read tape measure
  • Requires constant standing and walking (up to 10 hours per day)
  • Repetitive use of both hands (up to 10 hours per day)
  • Requires repetitive twisting
  • Repetitive reaching at and above shoulder level and bending at the waist
  • Working with water soluble coolant
  • An awareness of exposed cuttings and moving parts on the machine
  • Lifting up to 30 lbs.
