Job Description:

The M&E Technician III role involves attending to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment, managing engineering systems, and collaborating with others to ensure a safe, functional, and high-quality hotel environment.

Job Responsibility:

Respond and attend to guest repair requests
Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues
Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment
Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and shut-offs for buildings
Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies
Display proficiency in air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building management
Troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment
Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related duties
Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance work
Perform mid-level troubleshooting of hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems
Mentor other engineers

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and vocational or technical background
Experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting
At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
Valid Driver’s License
Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
Must meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements
