Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced M& A Program/Project Manager to oversee IT integration projects within the oil and gas exploration and production sector. This role will focus on managing the end-to-end IT integration process for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal business disruption. Based in The Woodlands, Texas, the position offers an opportunity to lead strategic projects that will drive successful post-merger IT operations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead IT integration efforts across all phases of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, from initial due diligence to post-close stabilization
  • Develop and continuously improve the M& A IT Integration Playbook, incorporating industry best practices and lessons learned
  • Define integration strategies, create detailed project plans, and ensure adherence to scope, timeline, and budget
  • Manage and coordinate cross-functional teams to align IT and business unit objectives during integration projects
  • Evaluate and oversee third-party vendors for specialized IT tasks such as application installation, security implementation, and infrastructure upgrades
  • Direct the integration of IT systems, software applications, infrastructure, and enterprise platforms, ensuring compatibility and functionality
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and IT security standards throughout the integration process
  • Conduct tollgate reviews to monitor progress and maintain disciplined execution of integration projects
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to provide updates and ensure alignment with organizational goals
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to address potential challenges during IT integration projects

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience managing IT integration projects, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise IT systems and architecture, including experience with platforms such as Oracle
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage third-party vendors effectively
  • Expertise in both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with experience engaging senior executive stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex integration challenges

Nice to have:

PMP certification and familiarity with Agile Scrum practices are highly desirable

  • Execute major projects and or programs using standard methodology, templates, tools and framework for effective project performance
  • Support efforts to define new projects/programs including scoping, sizing and planning.
  • Facilitate development of business case, charter, project plan, communications plan, and requirements metrics with the input from the project teams.
  • Closely track project tasks and progress to plan
  • report any delays, challenges, risks and issues and coordinate mitigations.
  • Drive project results that are aligned with strategic organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, technical leads, developers, quality assurance associates and other key stakeholders from project scope definition through implementation.
  • Manage scope, schedule, risks, issues and changes while always striving to minimize exposure and risk across multiple projects.
  • Hold regular meetings with project teams including project kick off and close out meetings, set agendas, document and communicate meeting notes and action items.
  • Provide project/program status reporting to stakeholders, ISD management and Laboratory senior management and manage expectations across the organization.
