Job Description:

The role involves guest repair requests, preventive maintenance, testing and troubleshooting equipment, and maintaining inventory, while adhering to safety and quality standards. The candidate will work onsite at a luxury resort and contribute to maintaining the high standards of The Ritz-Carlton brand.

Job Responsibility:

Respond and attend to guest repair requests
communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues
perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment
inspect tools, equipment, or machines
maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts/supplies
perform surface preparation, painting, and minor wood trim repair
test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items
use the Lockout/Tagout system before maintenance work
perform landscaping repairs
maintain quality expectations and standards
develop positive working relationships
move, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Requirements:

Driver’s License
basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building
ability to perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and area cleanup
ability to test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items
basic computer skills for inputting air handler schedules and temperature changes
ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds and heavier with assistance
ability to move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders.

Nice to have:

High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting
experience in hotel engineering or maintenance.
